Who we are

For seventy years, Lalbaba Ispat Udyog has made the steel parts that keep India's trains braking, coupling and running safely. Every piece is made to drawing, inspected at every stage and delivered on schedule.

Our inspectors follow each order from raw material to final finish, and our laboratory tests to RDSO and client specifications before anything leaves the works.

Our story

Seventy years in the railway town of Liluah

Lalbaba Ispat Udyog was founded by Shri Mool Chand Parakh in 1969 in 2nd Floor, Block B, 8NS Road, Kolkata – 700001, home to one of Asia's largest railway workshops. A small iron and steel enterprise grew into a respected manufacturer and exporter of precision components.

Today the firm is led by Mr. Ratan Lal Parakh and Mr. Tara Chand Parakh, with procurement, manufacturing, quality control, finishing, packing and dispatch all managed in-house. We are registered with NSIC to supply Indian Railways and overseas clients.
